Unfortunately pets are not permitted. Should boarding be required for dogs or cats we can advise on suitable nearby boarding kennels. Assistance and guide dogs are permitted.
Unfortunately The Bloomsbury cannot accommodate children.
Cancellation & Insurance
If you cancel with at least 7 days notice, there will be no charge. If cancellation occurs with less than 7 days notice we reserve the right to charge for the first night stay. We advise guests to take out travel insurance to safeguard against the cost of cancellation.
Whilst we try to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs, we appreciate an idea of when guests are planning to arrive, so that we can plan accordingly. Normal check in is before 12 noon and between 4pm and 9pm. Arrival outside of these times can be arranged but we'd appreciate being given an estimated arrival time. Whilst the room may not be ready on an early check in, guests are welcome to drop off luggage, park if appropriate, pick up keys and enjoy the day in York. Whilst we do like to meet guests on arrival, we have a secure key box where keys can be left if the need arises.
Guests are requested to check out by 10:30am to allow us to prepare for our next visitors. If circumstances require a different check out time we will do our best to help.
For the safety and comfort of everyone at The Bloomsbury, we have a strict non-smoking policy. Should anyone choose to ignore this policy they will be charged £50 for specialist cleaning of the room.
Damages & Breakages
In the unlikely event that you cause any damages or breakages, we reserve the right to charge for these. Should any damages or breakages occur, you should report them immediately. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant. We may make an additional charge of £25 if you did not report the damage or breakage.
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
Non - Availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control or if the booking does not adhere to our booking terms. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Payment in full is normally made on departure by cash or card. When booking online, a deposit may be taken from your card. Card details are held securely by our online booking system purely to secure the room and in the event of a late cancellation or no-show. If you would like to settle your bill prior to your arrival please let us know and we can charge the card used to secure the booking.
