Unfortunately pets are not permitted. Should boarding be required for dogs or cats we can advise on suitable nearby boarding kennels.


Unfortunately The Bloomsbury cannot accommodate children under the age of 12.

Cancellation & Insurance

If you cancel with at least 7 days notice, there will be no charge. If cancellation occurs with less than 7 days notice we charge for the first night stay, unless we are able to re-let the room. We advise guests to take out travel insurance to safeguard against the cost of cancellation.


We try to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs, and enhance your stay. All rooms will be available no later than 3pm, however if your accommodation is ready on your arrival anytime before this we will provide keys. If not, we will take luggage, issue keys, and advise when cleaning and room preparation will be completed.


Guests are requested to check out by 10:30am to allow us to prepare for our next visitors. If circumstances require a different check out time we will review each request on its own merit.

Smoking Policy

For the safety and comfort of everyone at The Bloomsbury, we have a strict non-smoking policy. Should anyone choose to ignore this policy they will be charged £50 for specialist cleaning of the room.

Damages & Breakages

In the unlikely event that you cause any damages or breakages, we reserve the right to charge for these. Should any damages or breakages occur, you should report them immediately. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant. We may make an additional charge of £25 if you did not report the damage or breakage.


Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.

Non - Availability

We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.


We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Payment Terms

We rarely take deposits to secure bookings, only in the case of long trips or if multiple rooms are booked. The price includes accommodation and full English breakfast, unless otherwise stated. Payment should be made on departure by cash. Currently, we don't have a card machine due to the excessive charges levied by the banks, we hope you understand. If you'd prefer, you may pay via bank transfer prior to arrival and we can provide bank details.
